PERUTI is an aborigine village which is 35 km far from El dorado to the south. There, fifty families live. They have their own school, but even if teachers do a great effort to help these people, they need many things.  The school has approximately 180 students, but they don´t have notebooks, pens, pencils etc. The school has a kitchen and a place where students eat, but they need all dishes.
They used to have computers, to teach young people and adults how to use them and maybe work out of the forest some day, but they are too old and useless. So, we can help those teachers and people with many things and in many ways.
The village is their sanctuary, and they don´t want strangers to visit them very often, so the help means also respecting their privacy.
The project tends to give them what they need, and twice a year, (April and October) to help them maintain the building by painting, fixing furniture, making new furniture, etc. 
COST: U$S 100(Volunteer fees are used to purchase supplies and materials for the project.)
MINIMUM STAY: 4 WEEKS
HOURS PER WEEK: 9
AVAILABLE TWICE A YEAR, the rest of the year it is possible to contribute with material for the school and pay them a visit to take it.

OPTION 2: VOLUNTEER PROGRAMS IN SCHOOLS

English teacher assistant: Schools accepting volunteers are located in the needy parts of Eldorado. Your work and help will be appreciated. Each volunteer candidate will be interviewed by the school. Your task will be appointed according to your background, wishes and opportunities available.
Tasks: helping English teachers for basic level English students. Students are at junior high school . You can choose to help during the lessons or after classes as tutors as well.
COST: u$s 100 (Volunteer fees are used to purchase supplies and materials for the project.)
MINIMUM STAY: 4 WEEKS
HOURS PER WEEK: 6
AVAILABLE ALL YEAR ROUND
